#twitterthoughts

I've been a member of twitter for a few years now. As a regular user of social media, I find it a very efficient way to share information and communicate with people. It's super easy to use, navigating both the app and on-line versions are simple.

When I first signed up with twitter, the majority of tweets were simple words. Now there are endless photos and videos being posted everyday. In my opinion this is a positive. Why not have videos, music, photos, quotes, words, and whatever else on one social media site! I will continue to use twitter, I enjoy keeping up-to-date on what's going on with friends, family and the world. I don't post very often, right now I'm too busy!

  1. I have used Twitter for a few years now myself. Twitter's strongest facet (for me) is when an event becomes huge in a social context. For example, take the closing ceremonies of the Olympics, or even a NHL game. If one finds the relevant hashtag, then the immediacy of Twitter can be recognized as very powerful. Try it out when the Oscars are aired this year; the rapt wonderment is an experience in itself.

  3. Great post Drew! I have also been using Twitter for a very long time. It is a pretty cool place as I can follow my favourite sports teams, celebrities, and keep in touch with close friends. Although I have started to move way from Twitter to Instagram, I am also going to continue using this site. When I get a little more savvy with technology in general, I am hoping to incorporate Twitter into the classroom in some way.
